vanIvey is a small-batch ceramic line by visual artist Kristen van Diggelen Sloan. Sloan established the line in 2013 in San Francisco, CA. She relocated to rural South Carolina in 2014, and has continued her vanIvey line in parallel with her greater art practice of oil painting and sculpture.

Sloan carefully considers the form, feel and purpose of each vessel and how each one can bring more beauty to the home and delight to the art of cooking, serving and sharing. The modern lines and vintage inspired detailing of the stoneware designs are influenced by Sloan’s European roots and are deeply tied to her relationship with her garden and culinary interests. vanIvey ceramic wares are artworks for the mundane rituals of the everyday that can be passed down from generation to generation.
